The World on Wednesday Lecture Series presents “Obama’s Foreign Policy toward Sub-Saharan Africa” with Prof. Roshen Hendrickson from the Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy Department on November 4 in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 227 from 12:20pm to 1:10pm.

Prof. Hendrickson will speak about President Obama’s personal link to Africa, as the fact that Obama has a Kenyan father has raised hopes among African peoples that his administration’s foreign policy will be more engaged than that of previous administrations. In this talk the speaker will explore the initial steps in this administration’s U.S. foreign policy toward Africa and point out comparisons with previous administrations.
