Ramapo College defeated College of Staten Island in both men and women’s swimming in the CSI Sports and Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon. The men take their first loss with a 2-1 record while the women fall to 1-3. The Roadrunners men and women both extend their record to 2-2 overall.
 
Ramapo took victory by a close score of 132-130. CSI took all but one first place win in the individual events and split the relay events taking one golden win.
 
Danila Novikov, Vlad Romanov and Nikolay Shevchenko had three gold medal win apiece. Novikov hit in at 1:47.84 in the 200 Freestyle before checking in at a speedy 21.98 in the 50 Freestyle. His final time was in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.74.
 
Shevchenko had a time of 10:40.23 in the 1000 Freestyle, 1:59.81 in the 200 Butterfly and 5:04.63 in the 500 Freestyle. Romanov was the only swimmer to tackle the 100 Backstroke in under one minute with a 53.09 finish. In the 200 backstroke he timed in at 1:53.93 and 52.83 in the 100 Butterfly.
 
Ramapo women won 126-101. Gabriella Villarruel medaled bronze for the Dolphins in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 29.69.
 
The Dolphins will travel to Throggs Neck, NY to face Maritime on Tuesday, November 23 at 6:30 pm.
