The College of Staten Island men’s basketball team has advanced to the CUNYAC Semifinals for the first time since the 2007-08 season via their 93-83 win over John Jay College on Sunday afternoon, and is looking for your support as they advance through the CUNYAC field.  The top-seeded Dolphins (16-9 overall, 10-3 CUNYAC) are set to take on No. 4 Brooklyn College (15-11, 9-4 CUNYAC) in the semifinal round of the 46th Annual CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Basketball Postseason Championship on Wednesday, February 23, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of City College of New York, at 6:00pm.
Admission to the game is FREE of charge, but spectators will need a ticket to enter.  Tickets are available at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center (1R-204).  Further, FREE transportation will be provided to and from the game via a CSI Fan Bus that will leave the CSI Sports & Recreation Center leaving campus at 4pm sharp!  The bus is available on a first-come, first-served basis, although those that utilize the bus to get to CCNY are guaranteed a seat coming back to Staten Island.
The Dolphins and Bulldogs did meet twice during the regular season with both teams splitting their season series.  CSI defeated Brooklyn on January 8, 78-59, but the Bulldogs got even on February 11, defeating the Dolphins, 67-62.  The two teams will tip-off at 6pm at CCNY, which serves as host for both the semifinal and championship rounds.  Should CSI beat Brooklyn, they would play for the CUNYAC Championship on Saturday, February 26 at 5:00pm against the winner of either No. 2 Medgar Evers College and No. 6 Hunter College.  Admission and a fan bus will also be available for that game as well.
For those traveling separately to CCNY, the Nat Holman Gymnasium is located at Convent Avenue and 138th street in Manhattan.
