The CSI Academy of Retired Professors (ARP) is co-sponsoring, along with the New York Urban League and the CSI SEEK Program, a non-partisan pre-election informational panel to benefit faculty, students, staff, and the Staten Island community on Tuesday, Oct. 2 in the Center for the Arts Lecture Hall (Building 1P, Room 116) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. It will afford the opportunity to ask questions and share information about some of the vital issues under consideration as we go to the polls to vote in November. CSI faculty and speakers from the League of Women Voters (LWV) will provide helpful information regarding these issues and the audience will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by knowledgeable panelists. The LWV will also conduct voter registration and the Board of Elections will provide a voting machine to demonstrate how the voting process works. We urge the entire College community to attend this important event and to encourage neighbors and friends to attend as well.

A partial list of panelists includes Professor Calvin Holder (History), Professor Richard Flanagan (Political Science, Economics and Philosophy, and Finda Gbollie, J.D. (formerly of the Registrar’s Office). We urge students to attend and bring their questions. Audience participation is encouraged.
