Due to the vast suffering and unfathomable losses to our Staten Island community resulting from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the CSI Foundation and the College of Staten Island have jointly decided to postpone the upcoming December 1, 2012 CSI Celestial Ball until a date to be determined in spring 2013.

The entire College community, including CSI students, faculty, administration, staff, the Foundation Board, other volunteers, and neighbors, has all been affected by this unprecedented disaster. Out of respect for those in need and empathy for those who have suffered losses, we ask that you keep all victims in your thoughts.

The new date will be identified at the Richmond County Country Club as soon as possible and communicated to all. Ticket purchases, journal ads, and gala sponsorships will be retained and honored for the rescheduled Celestial Ball in spring 2013.

Thank you for your continued support of the College and the CSI Foundation.

If you would like to contribute to the recently established CSI Foundation Hurricane Sandy Emergency Relief Fund to provide financial assistance to members of our College community who are in need, please go online and click on “Make Your Gift Online Now.” Contributions by check can be made out to the CSI Foundation, noting “Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund” on the memo line, and mailed to CSI Foundation, 2800 Victory Boulevard, 1A-401, Staten Island, NY, 10314.
