Please join Dean Sussman at her December Dean’s Symposium on December 10 in the Campus Center (Building 1C) Green Dolphin Lounge from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

The symposium, entitled ”Asian Media and Popular Culture: Chinese State Television and Rock ’n’ Roll,” will feature Ying Zhu, Professor, Department of Media Culture, and Toronto-based music critic and author Jonathan Campbell.

This will be a panel discussion on the development of state media and popular culture in China. This symposium will recognize Professor Ying Zhu’s new book, Two Billion Eyes, a critical analysis of state-run television in China, and  will also address the development of a new major in East Asian Studies.

We hope to see you there.
