Important Notice Regarding Your NYC Health Benefits – Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit

The City of New York Health Benefits Program will be conducting a Dependent Eligibility Audit of all employees and retirees who are enrolled in a health plan and have at least one dependent under their coverage. The audit will be led by Aon Hewitt’s Dependent Eligibility Verification Center on behalf of the City of New York Health Benefits Program.

Around Wednseday, June 5, 2013 a letter was sent from the Health Benefits Program/Dependent Eligibility Verification Center to each employee and retiree affected by the audit. The letter provides information on how to comply with the audit and also contact information for any questions you may have pertaining to the audit. You should expect a second letter with specific details on required documentation and the manner in which to submit the information. In the meantime, it would be advisable to begin gathering the documents that you may need to submit for the audit.
