Today the College of Staten Island’s men’s soccer team will travel to Jersey City, NJ, to take on the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University at 4:00pm.  The Dolphins go into the game with a 1-5 record, while the Gothic Knights have a 1-4-2 record.

NJCU is coming off of a tough loss to Maritime College in which the winning goal came with just three minutes remaining in the game.  The Gothic Knights started their season off with two ties and a win in their first three games, however they have dropped four straight since and will look to bounce back today.

The Dolphins are coming off their first win of the season on Monday against Farmingdale State via a thrilling 4-3 score line which took double overtime to accomplish.  The last time these two teams met was on September 1, 2013 at the CSI Soccer Complex where NJCU won by a score of 8-1.  The Gothic Knights have won five of the last six meetings against the Dolphins but have struggled their last four games whereas CSI has improved each of the games they’ve played.

With the Dolphins coming off a win, they will hope to use that momentum to string together two wins in a row before they start CUNYAC play on Saturday.
