The College of Staten Island men’s soccer team is primed and ready for the 2015 season, and will travel to Purchase College for its opener under the lights tonight at 7:00pm. The Dolphins are looking to improve on its CUNYAC Regular Season Championship season of a year ago under fourth-year head coach John Tardy. Purchase finished the 2014 season with a 10-10-1 record.

Players To Watch (CSI): CSI is returning all-stars and CUNYAC Player of the Year Honorable Mentions Ruben Diaz and Jacob Szumanski, who both play the back line.
Players to Watch (PC): Purchase lost their top scorer from a year ago, but have exceptional keepers Esteban Aguilar and Thomas Ogrodnik between the pipes, who made eight total saves against the Dolphins last year.
News and Notes: CSI’s win over Purchase last year was their first over the Panthers since 2001. The Panthers had previously won two straight and the teams finished to 0-0 tie back in 2002, which was also the last time the two teams played at Purchase. CSI is 13-21-2 all-time on opening day. Purchase is the defending Skyline champs and are looking to repeat in 2015.
