The College of Staten Island men’s soccer has run their unbeaten streak up to six games, and will put it on the line again today as they play host to Lehman College at the CSI Soccer Complex at 4pm. As we pass the halfway mark of the CUNYAC schedule, the game should carry playoff implications.

Where: CSI Soccer Complex, 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY

Last Year’s Result: Lehman won, 7-3
Players To Watch (CSI): Kyle Coffey will make the start in goal today after a shutout over John Jay on Monday. For CSI it was only their second shutout of the season. Fellow freshman Philip Lefkowitz tallied for the Dolphins on Monday and now has three goals this season. He has goals in two consecutive games and was named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week.
Players To Watch (LC): Brandon Ruiz has been the go-to man for Lehman, leading the way with five goals and 26 shots. He also shares the team lead in assists with two. Luis Andrade and Moussa Kone are consistent Lightning players and the only pair to have started every game for the unit.
News and Notes: CSI will be without winger Dardan Nika today, as he serves a red card suspension. Last season, Lehman gave CSI its only regular season CUNYAC loss, 7-3, in the Bronx. Although CSI leads the overall series, Lehman has won five of the last six meetings. The teams have combined to score 22 goals over the last three meetings, so perhaps another offensive explosion is in the cards. CSI is averaging 3.7 goals per game over its last six games, and Lehman is averaging three goals per contest over its last three games, all wins.
