There is still room for December’s  Professional Development Workshop, Capitalizing on the Benefits of Positive Feedback, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. If you are a director, manager, or supervisor who wants to energize your staff to address performance gaps, then this is the session for you. Positive feedback is a boost to employee well-being and will empower them to become better performers. If you are interested in taking this course, please go online to register and submit an application as soon as possible.

Also, back by popular demand, OHRM PDLM is offering Dynamic Customer Relations, which will be presented by Desander “Des” Mas, recipient of the Mayoral Customer C.A.R.E. Award. The University has been providing a quality education since 1847, and Chancellor Milliken has charged all of us to improve “customer service,” University-wide. Keeping this charge in mind, this full-day CUNY-tailored workshop has three goals:

  • To underscore your value as an employee of CUNY and the critically important role you have in delivering vital services to its customers
  • To reinforce the importance and value of delivering courteous and effective customer service
  • To provide you with the tools and training that will empower you to deliver and manage the highest standards of customer service

The Dynamic Customer Relations workshop will be held on Jan. 12, 2017 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please see the online flier for additional information.

The professional development courses are $60 per person per day of training. Interested staff may register via the PDLM E-App located at www.cuny.edu/pdlm by clicking on “How do I register?” A supervisor’s approval and the campus Human Resources Office’s electronic submission of the application to the PDLM Office are required. Learners will be notified of registration at least three to seven days before a class begins. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jessica Collura at 718.982.2376 or Pat Matonti at 718.982.2684.
