During this volatile time, the College of Staten Island remains committed to providing information and support to our students, faculty, and staff who may be either directly affected by or deeply concerned about immigration and/or international travel issues.  To this end, the College has established a communications working group to develop a Website providing relevant information and to coordinate special programming during the coming weeks to provide additional helpful information. The working group, whose current members are listed below, will attempt to be nimble in responding to issues that may emerge. The group also invites suggestions and input from interested members of the CSI community.

One specific purpose of this email is to announce the establishment of a new Web-based resource guide to provide information for those impacted by recent changes to U.S. immigration policy and enforcement. This page offers contacts for counseling, financial, and legal assistance, and will serve as a hub for resources provided by CUNY, NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and New York State.

The working group will coordinate and promote educational events over the next several weeks related to these issues.  Such events will be announced campus-wide, and will also be featured on the Webpage. Again, members of the campus community are encouraged to share suggestions for and information about such events.

We invite you to access the Website for additional information, and to share with us any suggestions for ways in which it can be improved as an educational resource. Suggestions and comments can be addressed to provost@csi.cuny.edu or studentaffairs@csi.cuny.edu.
