Join us on Tuesday, Apr. 25 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Lecture Hall from 2:45pm to 4:15pm for the Beneath The Waves Film Festival at CSI, a global platform for ocean conservation, education, and discovery. The mission is to raise awareness regarding critical marine issues, foster the advancement of science, and promote the protection of our oceans. There are three primary program areas: scientific research, film festivals, and youth programs. Beneath The Waves Inc. is a non-profit organization in promoting the goal of inspiring viewers to take action toward ocean conservation in their communities. They also directly connect people to the oceans through special events and trips.

Professor David Atichati from Department of Engineering Science and Physics will be the moderator of the festival. He will screen this film in conjunction with Earth Day on Saturday, Apr. 22, which a  worldwide effort and celebration to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

This event is funded in part by the Campus Activities Board using Student Activity Fees.
