The CSI Baseball team will host non-conference opponents St. Joseph’s College – BK at the CSI Baseball Complex starting at 4 pm. The Dolphins are one win away from tying their fourth longest winning streak at 10 back in 1997.

Players To Watch (CSI): Frank Sconzo displayed a heroic act for the Dolphins, in a doubleheader against Mount St. Vincent, as he launched a grand-slam homerun while going 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs and four RBI in game one. Sconzo, sits comfortably with a .318 batting average with 26 runs and 16 RBIs. Jett Nouvertne went 2-for-6 in the doubleheader, but also notched four RBI in the sweep. Nouvertne is currently second on the team with a .397 batting average with 17 runs, 16 RBIs and a .508 slugging percentage. Pitcher Josh Bernstein (2-0) sits atop of the Dolphin pitchers with a 1.50 ERA in 12 IP.
Players To Watch (SJC): John Condon paces the way for the Bears as he sits first with a solid. 400 batting average with 27 RBIs, 15 runs and a homerun. Nicholas LoPrinzi has become a threat at the plate with is .310 batting average, two homeruns, 18 runs, and he leads the team with 11 walks. Star pitcher for the Bears, Connor Pasetti, has a 2.57 ERA in 35 IP with 24 strikeouts, and 16 walks. Pasetti posts a 4-1 record on the season.
News & Notes: The Dolphins have been hot at the plate the past few games as they’re on a nine-game win streak entering the match-up with St. Joe’s- BK. Staten Island struggled against the Bears last year, as St. Joe’s clinched a doubleheader sweep, 11-5 and 6-1. Despite the doubleheader loss, the Dolphins lead the All-Time Series 13-6 and will look water the drought against St. Joe’s and snap their three-game win streak.
