The College of Staten Island softball squad heads into their final day of competition this morning against Rochester Institute of Technology and Cornell College.  The Dolphins will look to break their three-game losing skid with a pair of wins on their final day in Arizona.  

CSI vs. RIT & CORNELL COLLEGE
Match-up: College of Staten Island (1-5) vs RIT (0-2), Cornell (4-4)
Where:  Tucson Invitational – Tucson, AZ
Players to Watch (CSI): Arianna DiBenedetto has stepped into the Dolphins’ starting lineup and has made an instant impact out in center field as she uses her speed to cover a lot of ground.  Patricia Riches will always be on opposing team’s radars as she is a game changer at the plate as well as in the field.  Riches leads the Dolphins with a .438 batting average and a pair of doubles. Vanessa Jioia and Antoinette Galbo pace the Dolphins with three RBI each while Jioia paces the way with five doubles. 
Players to Watch (RIT): Danielle Hotz is the big hitter for RIT and will need to be contained by the Dolphins in order to pick up their second win of the season. Lauren Mahar and Melissa Gould will split duty in the circle and will attempt to shut down the Dolphins’ emerging bats.  
Players to Watch (CC):  In their last outing, Sabrina Calabrese went 2-for-3 in the loss to SUNY Oneonta.  In that same game, Kim Rose tallied two RBI, a team-high. Lily Dahlstrom and Kailey Kovas split time in the circle with Kovas going 4.2 innings and allowed five hits. 
News & Notes: The Dolphins come in on a three-game losing skid and will look to break that and head home with three wins to start the year.  RIT lost their two opening games of the season, one of which came against Cornell College. Cornell College has won two of their last four games and will be eager to put together a win streak during their spring trip.
