The College of Staten Island men’s tennis team will travel to take on John Jay College this afternoon at a neutral site in Washington Twp., NJ for a CUNYAC match.

Players to Watch (CSI): Alex Tsui boasts the best record for the Dolphins at 6-2, winning three of them from the number five slot. Tsui is coming off just his second loss of the season and will look to find his way back into the win column this afternoon against the Bloodhounds. Matthew Vesci has played in several spots this season, with four of his wins coming on courts three and four.  Vesci has also played in the number one slot twice this season earning one win. 
Players to Watch (JJC): Oleh Mir is the top player for the Bloodhounds, playing to a 4-5 record from the top spot all season.  Mir, however, comes in on a three-match losing skid. Sean Kim has been productive for John Jay from the fourth slot, also tallying a 4-5 record. Kim and Mir are the go-to duo team in the top slot, putting together three wins and two losses when teamed up together. 
News & Notes: The Dolphins have won four of the last five against the Bloodhounds, with their lone loss coming in 2016, a 5-4 defeat in Wayne, NJ. John Jay and Staten Island played twice last season, once in the regular season and once in the CUNYAC Playoffs which saw the Dolphins emerge victorious, 5-0. On the road against the Bloodhounds, the Dolphins are just 6-5 in their history while playing to a 19-5 record on their home court.
