Players to Watch (CSI): Through the first three matches of the season, CSI has been guided by the one-two punch of Francesca Castellano and Margaret O’Malley-Rebovich on the offensive and defensive end.  Castellano leads the way with 27 kills next to just two errors and also leads the way with 31 digs and is tied for the team lead with nine service aces.  O’Malley-Rebovich is next in line with 25 kills on 61 attempts and leads all with a healthy .377 attacking percentage.  She has posted five aces and leads the team with eight total blocks.  Look for Caitlin Esposito and Alexandia Boachie-Ansah to also contribute.  Both have 13 kills on the yound season, while Esposito is tied atop the leader with nine aces.  Arianna Spears leads the way with 56 assists and was recently named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts.
Players to Watch (CCC): At the front of the net look for players like Kailey Elrod, Lidsay Davis, and Nicole Hill to be the catalysts.  Elrod leads the pack with 17 kills and has a team-high six aces to go with it.  Davis is next up with 16 kills and she is the team leader defensively with 38 digs.  Hill is the only other Falcom with double-digit kills, boasting an even 10.  Look for Tiffany Hoppes to be a key cog in the back.  She has posted 30 digs this season.  Talia Watson and Madison Flatt have been sharing the setting duties.  Watson has the lead with 24 assists to Flatt’s 19.
News & Notes: CSI recorded only their second 2-0 start in team history, but fell in a close match to Rutgers-Newark on Tuesday and are looking to bounce back.  This is their first road match of the season and is the first of five-in-a-row for the Dolphins on the road after a three-game season-opening home stand.  For Cedar Crest they started the season with two matches on the road and will usher in the home portion of their schedule tonight.  These two teams have only met twice previously.  Last year, Cedar Crest took a 3-1 win.  CSI won the first set, 25-22, but the Falcons came back with 25-19, 25-10, and 25-22 to take the match.  The match was placed at a neutral site at St. Joseph’s Brooklyn.  Back in 2013, the two teams met in another neutral test at New Jersey City University, and there Cedar Crest took a 25-6, 25-13, and 25-23 decision.  Cedar Crest finished 17-6 a year ago, but they did have some difficulties at home, going only 5-4 at home, while going 12-2 away from home.  CSI was 4-10 away from home last year.
