The College of Staten Island women’s swimming & diving team is in action today against CUNYAC foes, Hunter College. The women will look to bounce back from an opening season loss to Mount St. Mary and find their way into the win column.

Players to Watch (CSI): Gabriella Bartley picked up the first, first-place finish for the Dolphins this season with a 1:07.78 finish in the 100-yard freestyle. Lisnette Solano produced a quality outing in the 100-yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:25.28, good for second. Alicia Defonte is one of the leaders on the team and will look to help lift Staten Island to their first win of the season. 
Players to Watch (HC): Sera Knobler had a stand-out meet against St. Joseph’s College of Long Island, finishing first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:06.40. Hanaa Lacchab will look to pick up yet another first place finish in the 200 fly while Irene Colling and Oczons try to carry their momentum into their first home meet of the season.
News & Notes: The Hawks have won five straight against the Dolphins, dating back to 2013. In 2012 the Dolphins narrowly defeated the Hawks in Staten Island, 119-116. The Dolphins’ other two wins came in the first two meetings in this series back in 1999 and 2000. When swimming at Hunter College the Dolphins average just 35 points per meet.
