The College of Staten Island women’s basketball squad will look to carry the momentum they gained after beating Brooklyn College into tonight’s game against Lehman College. The Dolphins will travel to the APEX Gym in the Bronx, NY for another CUNYAC matchup.

Players to Watch (CSI): Diana Todaro had her third-best outing of the season against the Bulldogs, scoring a team-high 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Todaro has been the model of consistency this season, converting 52% of her shots from the floor while averaging 12 points per game. Todaro gives the Dolphins second-chance opportunities as 60 of her 135 rebounds have been on the offensive end. Megan McEwan will look to rebound tonight against the Lightning as she is coming off her worst offensive performance of the season, totaling just three points. McEwan is leading the team in both scoring and assists, scoring 15.1 points and dishing out 3.3 assists per game. Kayla Schmitter is adding 9.1 points per game which is third-best on the squad and she is second on the team with 6 rebounds per game. 
Players to Watch (LC): Adeeba Cheema led the Lightning with 8 points in their last outing against Hunter College. Cheema also led Lehman College with a pair of 3-point baskets. Eriadna Vasquez led the team on the boards, grabbing 6 rebounds while adding 4 points. Vasquez is second on the team with 5.7 points per game while leading the team with 7 rebounds a game. Salima Sangare is averaging 1 assist per game while shooting 21% from range.
News & Notes: The Lightning have had a hard fall from the top of the CUNYAC standings. Just four season’s ago the Lightning were hoisting the CUNYAC trophy after they defeated Brooklyn College. Tonight, they enter with a record of 1-12 while on a 7-game losing skid. As a team, they are averaging 35 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 69 points per game. Meanwhile, the Dolphins come in averaging 64 points per game and beating their opponents by an average of 9 points. In their last four outings against the Lighting, the Dolphins have won by an average of 17 points. The Lightning’s lone win of the season came on their home court, however, in their last five home stands, they have averaged just 31 points. When the Dolphins travel, score a point higher than their season average, scoring 65 points per game.
