After another successful turn through a week dominated by CUNYAC play, the conference has awarded Player of the Week honors for men’s standout Christian Taylor and women’s star Diana Todaro.  The wins are on the heels of identical 2-0 weeks for the Dolphins, as the teams picked up wins against Brooklyn College and Lehman College on the road.

Taylor is getting used to putting up huge weeks for the Dolphins, and it was the same in wins against the Bulldogs and Lightning.  First, in a 69-65 win over Brooklyn, Taylor led all scorers 29 points, adding six rebounds and a team-high six assists.  Two nights later on the road at Lehman, Taylor put up another 26 points, a game-high with a pair of rebounds and assists.  For the week he averaged 27.5 points with four assists and four rebounds per.  For the season, he leads all Dolphins with 22.8 points per game, shooting 52.3% from the floor.

Todaro only participated in one game last week, CSI’s road win against the defending CUNYAC-Champion Brooklyn College team that came in undefeated in conference play.  She was the obvious leader in the 58-55 win, scoring a game-high 17 points to go with 11 rebounds and five assists, also both game-highs.  She shot 8-12 from the field.  This season, Todaro is averaging 12.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, which leads the team.

The Dolphins teams are getting set for their next matchup tonight, as they return home to play host to Baruch College, beginning at 5:30pm.
