The College of Staten Island men’s basketball team is gearing up for the 2019-20 competitive year and introduce the anticipation with the announcement of the competitive schedule.  There is plenty of reason to get excited about CSI’s first entry into the NCAA Division II ranks as the schedule features plenty of competition against elevated play.

CSI will usher in play in the sunny skies of Florida, where they go for a teo-game swing on November 13-14 against Division II standouts Nova Southeastern University and Barry University.  When CSI returns, they will take another trip to Division II Southern New Hampsire University, before starting out at home on November 20 against future ECC-rivals New York Tech.  That starts a four-game home stand that features Johnson & Wales University and future ECC-rival St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Sixteen of the Dolphins’ contests will be against the familiar CUNYAC.  They start that lineup at home on December 3 against the City College of New York and finalize also at home against Baruch College on February 18, a night that will also be Senior Night.  CSI will face each CUNYAC team twice in-between what will be their 18th Annual Tournament of Heroes.  This year CSI will host Curry College, Bridgewater College and Wheaton College.  CSI will play Curry on December 27, followed by the consolation and championship games on December 28.

CSI will partner with the CSI Women’s Basketball team for Pride Night on Wednesday, February 12, against Hunter College, at 7:30 pm.
