Town Hall on General Education

 

​The Faculty Senate Executive Committee, the General Education Committee, and the Provost and Office of Academic Affairs invite you to participate in a Town Hall on General Education on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P), Room 119 from 2:30pm to 4:25pm. 2       Overview of General Education nationally; CSI’s General Education examined in the national context with a special focus on CSI’s  Freshman Year Experience – Assoc. Provost Ralf Peetz

3       General Education at CSI: where we were and where we are now – Catherine Lavender, Chair, General Education Committee

4       Open Discussion: Rebuilding CSI’s General Education (Possible topics of conversation:)

i.      Liberal Arts and sciences as foundational

ii.      General Education at CSI, a Comprehensive College

iii.      Common / Shared experience
