Rachel Jirka

Has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Music from the University of Virginia. She has a Master’s Degree in French Linguistics and Pedagogy from Middlebury College and a Master’s of Library Science in Archives Management from Simmons College in Boston. Her background in teaching includes French, Music and Humanities classes at a French bilingual school outside Boston, Massachusetts. Before joining the CSI Library faculty, as the Assistant to the Archivist, Ms. Jirka worked as an Archivist and Reference Librarian at the Boston Athenaeum and at the Phillips Library of the Peabody Essex Museum, where she focused on local and institutional history.
