Barbara Griffiths (Assistant Professor) received her Associate of Arts and Science Degree from Staten Island Community College; a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing and a Master’s of Science specializing in Adult Health Nursing from the College of Staten Island; and a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Her clinical nursing background spans almost 40 years and includes experience in Medical/Surgical, as well as Critical Care areas. Certified since 1988, her specialty lies within Gastroenterology Nursing. Her research thus far has focused on nursing education and performance improvement and enhanced education related to patient safety. Investigating evidenced based practice will be the focus of future research.
