Ming Tang (Assistant Professor) received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Peking University, China. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Iowa State University with Prof. Mei Hong working on the biophysical study of antimicrobial peptides. Then he joined Prof. Chad Rienstra’s group at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a postdoctoral researcher, studying the disulfide bond generating membrane protein complex. After joining CSI in August 2013, he focuses on investigating the structural biology and biophysics of membrane proteins and protein aggregates with advanced solid-state NMR methods.
