Chapman Wing received his Ph.D. in French from Yale University in 2013. His research focuses on relations between literature and history in the 19th century, and more specifically on early representations of the distant future. As the only tenure-track faculty in French at CSI, his mission will be to rebuild the French major from the ground up. Chapman is a New England native who is very excited about moving to New York City, where there are people in the street after 8 o’clock.
