Jean-Philippe Berteau received both his Masters and Ph.D. in Biomechanics from Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France and has a Bachelors in Physical Therapy. Dr. Berteau completed his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Institute of Biomechanics, Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany. Prior to joining CSI he worked as a Research Associate and Lab Manager at Northeastern University. Dr. Jean-Philippe Berteau’s research has been focused on a variety of pediatrics issues in orthopedics such as scoliosis or greenstick fracture. As an experimental researcher, his interdisciplinary projects spread in a variety of fields such as Biomechanics, Bioengineering, Acoustics, Histology and Biochemistry. His recent research interest has an emphasis on the biomechanics of osteoarthritis by investigating changes in biomechanical properties of cartilage, subchondral and cortical bone.
