Angelo Bongiorno is a physical chemist interested in quantum mechanical computational methods and materials. In 2003, he earned the PhD in Physics from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, and in 2008 he was appointed Assistant Professor in Chemistry at Georgia Tech (Atlanta) where he was awarded tenure and promotion to the rank of Associate Professor in 2015. His current research focuses on 2D materials and ionic transport phenomena in solid electrolytes.
