Dr. Tobias Johnson studies many aspects of mathematical probability, trying to understand random networks and particle systems that model the spread of infections, the behavior of material undergoing combustion, and other phenomena. After he received his PhD from the University of Washington, he was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at University Southern California and New York University.
