The College of Staten Island hosts its Second Annual Leadership Conference entitled “Students Impacting Communities” on Friday, April 3, in the Campus Center.
The conference will communicate and demonstrate the importance of leaders and leadership as well as the need for students to have an impact and to make a difference in our communities.
Keynote speakers include Dominic Carter, Host, Inside City Hall, and Senior Political Reporter for NY1 News and Caryl Stern, President and Chief Executive Officer of the United States Fund for UNICEF.
The full-day event begins at 8:30am and is open to all CSI students, faculty, and staff and the greater CUNY community. There will also be participants from several area colleges and universities and the event will serve as an opportunity for students and professionals to meet and share ideas, opportunities, and concepts in leadership and civic engagement.
“We are thrilled about the day and we want to share this leadership opportunity with the entire CSI community,” said Carol Brower, Acting Associate Dean for Student Affairs. “In addition, we have invited students from the CSI High School for International Studies, other CUNY colleges, and the CUNY Leadership Academy, as well as St. Johns University, Wagner College, and a group of students, faculty, and staff from Kennesaw State University, Georgia.”
