Information Technology Workshops, August 2009

The Office of Information Technology will be offering the following workshops during the month of August:

“Introduction to MS Exchange” – Tuesday, Aug. 11  from 3:00pm to 4:00pm or Monday, Aug. 17 from 11:00am to noon. In order to utilize the “employee self-service” module of CUNYfirst, all CSI employees have been issued a CSI email account.  This email account must be used for all College correspondence.   These hands-on training sessions are designed for those employees who would like to become more familiar with the Microsoft Exchange program. 
IDs and passwords will not be available the day of the workshops.  Please contact Toni Derevjanik at 718.982.4080 prior to the class to obtain your password.

“MS Word 2003” – Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 10:00am to noon. Learn how to do a mail merge.  Tips and tricks will also be covered.  

“MS Excel 2003” – Thursday, Aug. 13 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Learn how to do calculations.  Tips and tricks will also be covered.   

“MS PowerPoint 2003” – Tuesday, Aug. 18 from noon to 2:00pm. Learn how to create basic presentations. 

“CUNY Portal” – Wednesday, Aug. 19 from noon to 1:00pm. This is a basic introduction to accessing CUNY A!ert, CUNY eMail, etc.

All workshops will be held in the CUNYfirst Training Center in Building 2N, Room 115.

Seating for workshops is limited to 30 participants per session. A waiting list will be started for those who wish to enroll in any of the sessions listed above.  If you will not be able to attend, please contact the HelpDesk so that we can give the seat to someone on the waiting list.
