The CSI Spring Blood and Bone Marrow Drive will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 2 from noon to 5:30pm and Wednesday, Mar. 3 from 10:00am to 3:30pm. Blood donors will also have an opportunity to join the “Be the Match” registry. This national bone marrow registry matches donors to patients in need of a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

CUNY, in conjunction with New York Blood Center, is hosting blood and bone marrow drives at campuses throughout the five boroughs. The donor registry drives are in honor of Jennifer Jones Austin, a community activist with over two decades of service to New York City. These drives will perhaps find a matching donor for 41-year-old Austin, and are an effort to raise awareness about the need for more African American bone marrow donors.

Refreshments and t-shirts will be available for all who donate. Call 718.982.3113 to make an appointment. Walk-ins are always welcome.
