WOMEN'S TENNIS STAY UNDEFEATED IN CUNYAC WITH WIN OVER CITY TECH


Women’s Tennis took a 9-0 victory over New York City Tech Thursday afternoon in a match held at York College. The Dolphins are on a five game win streak and continue to stay undefeated in the CUNYAC. The women extended their record to 4-0 in the conference and 6-2 overall while City Tech fell to a 0-2 conference record and a 0-3 overall record. 
In No. 1 doubles, Gabriella Villarruel and Illona Stoyko took an 8-4 victory over Kimberly Battle and Olayinka Sarayi while Qing Li and Nancy Almazo grabbed a close 9-7 win in No. 2 doubles. In No. 3 doubles, Yelena Rasporskaya and Justine Kuna swept their opponents Gendaris Tavera and Stephanie Arabalaez, 8-0.
CSI took strong wins in singles play including Kuna and Calao keeping their opponents scoreless in No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively. 
The Dolphins will travel to the Bronx, New York on saturday, September 25, for a 1:00 pm conference match against Lehman College.
