Applications are now being accepted for the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP).

The SMDEP is a free (tuition, housing, and meals) six-week summer academic enrichment program that offers freshman and sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation. The program is delivered at 12 program sites around the country, each of which provides scholars with academic enrichment in the basic sciences and math, clinical experiences, career development activities, learning and study skills seminars, and a financial planning workshop. To be eligible, a student must be a full-time freshman or sophomore, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
