Staten Island Project Homefront is a not-for-profit organization that supports U.S. troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait by sending them care packages every six weeks. Over the past year they have experienced tremendous shortages in care package supplies. There are thousands of New Yorkers who are currently deployed overseas who would greatly appreciate care packages or notes of encouragement. Staff members at the Student Veteran Center and Registrar’s Office would like to invite you to join them in an ongoing effort to donate care package supplies for service members overseas to be donated to Project Homefront. Donations can be dropped off at the Student Veteran Center in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 219 or at the Registrar’s Office (Building 2A, Room 110).

Project Homefront is already preparing for winter care packages. Currently they are experiencing the greatest shortages in:

– Hot Chocolate
– Soup
– Hand and Foot Warmers
– All Pain Relievers
– Mouth Wash (small travel size)
– Cortizone/Foot Cream
