The World on Wednesday Lecture Series presents “U.S. Foreign Policy: Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll,” with Consul General Thomas Armbruster, CUNY Diplomat-in-Residence on Wednesday, Nov. 2 in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 211 from 12:20pm to 1:10pm.

Mr. Tom Armbruster’s most recent overseas assignment was in Vladivostok, as the United States Consul General for the world’s largest consular district in the Russian Far East. You can see Tom at work in Chukotka, Russia on this YouTube site .

His presentation will include topics such as the roll of spouses in the Foreign Service, women as career diplomats, drug violence in Northern Mexico, and encounters with rock stars as ambassadors.  He will also talk about careers and internships with the U.S. State Department and Foreign Service.
