Please be reminded that effective Sunday, July 1, 2012, smoking and the use of all tobacco products will be strictly prohibited on the College of Staten Island campus, as per the CUNY Revised Tobacco Policy

For the remainder of this academic year, the current Designated Smoking Areas at CSI remain in effect, and compliance among all faculty, staff, and students is required. Individuals smoking in non-designated areas will begin to receive Warning Violation notices.

These policies have been implemented out of respect for others and the environment, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated and essential to the success of this initiative. If you would like help with quitting tobacco use, a wealth of resources are available online from the CSI Cessation Resources Web page and the University’s Healthy CUNY Website.  You can also find information on a healing timeline, second-hand smoke, and third-hand smoke.

Thank you for your continued assistance.
