The 2012 CUNY Athletic Conference / Con Edison Cheerleading Championship will be held on the campus of the College of Staten Island in the Sports & Recreation Center today, Thursday, March 8th at 7:00 pm.
The CUNYAC teams competing tonight for the Championship title are Brooklyn, John Jay, York Medgar Evers and your CSI Dolphins. More CUNY Cheer and Dance squads will be performing exhibitions, as well as a few high school teams at the two-hour event.
Despite sweeping the individual events last year, CSI took a second place finish with Brooklyn College capturing first place. With the title in Brooklyn’s hand for six years, the Dolphins will look to take it all in their home court.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and tickets to the event are free. However, fans should register for tickers in advance by visiting the following link: www.cunyathletics.com/tickets. There will also be computers set up by the entrance to register for your tickets at the door. Space is limited!
