Health and Wellness Services will be collecting used cellular phones and equipment to support victims of domestic violence between Monday, Mar. 12 and Friday, Apr. 20.
CUNY and Verizon have collaborated to link this recycling campaign to Women’s History events as well as Earth Day events. Verizon has committed a monetary incentive to the University to be divided among participating campuses. A collection bin will be placed in the Campus Center very soon, However, phones can be dropped off at the Wellness/Peer Drop-in Center in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 111 or the Health Center in the Campus Center, Room 112.
While this is a nationwide program, it is important to note that all equipment and proceeds collected in the New York Metro area will stay in this area, making CUNY contributions especially useful to classmates, coworkers, friends, and neighbors. Thank you in advance for participating.
