In conjunction with the International Edible Book Festival, Professor Frederick Kaufman, author of A Short History of the American Stomach, will lead a discussion of political and social issues related to food production, delivery, and consumption on Thursday, Mar. 29 in the Library Archives & Special Collections (Building 1L, Room 216) at 2:30pm.
Edible book events are typically held on the first Saturday in April, in honor of April Fool’s Day and the birthday of French gastronome Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826), famous for his book Physiologie du Goût (check out the official event Website ).
