The HRSA Nursing Scholarship Program is now accepting applications.

The HRSA Nursing Scholarship Program is a selective program of the U.S. Government that helps alleviate the critical shortage of nurses currently experienced by certain types of health care facilities by helping needy students complete their nurse training. The scholarship’s benefits include tuition, other school-related costs, and a monthly stipend. In exchange for the scholarship, newly graduated nurses work at these facilities for at least two years. Nursing Scholars fulfilling their service commitment receive a competitive salary and benefits package. To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be enrolled in full-time professional nursing degree programs (baccalaureate, graduate, or associate’s degrees). Preference will be given to qualified applicants with financial need.

The application deadline is Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
