Speakers are invited to present at the World on Wednesday Lecture Series for the 2012-2013 semesters.
The World on Wednesday (WOW) is seeking faculty, staff, and outside experts to talk to the CSI community about ideas and experiences that lead to an increased awareness of global issues. WOW is especially intended to inspire students to want to learn more about the world during their time at CSI. Discussions in the series serve to introduce and encourage students to participate in the wide range of study abroad programs available to them through the Center for International Service.
Speakers talk about their own personal experience and present their topics in an informal style, including audio-visuals tools. Past presenters have represented the disciplines of history, economics, geography, political science, health sciences, cinema studies, environmental science, business, and literature. Discussions have focused on topics related to China, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, South Africa, and other countries.
WOW lectures take place on Wednesdays, from 12:20pm to 1:10pm in the Campus Center (Building 1C).
If you wish to participate or suggest another speaker, please contact Winnie Brophy at the Center for International Service, 718.982.2100 or winnie.brophy@csi.cuny.edu.
