I am forwarding this message on behalf of Joyce Taylor, Deputy to the Vice President for Technology Systems. As you may have heard, the College is implementing a new system known as CUNYfirst. It is a suite of Oracle/PeopleSoft software that will replace aging systems such as SIMS, finance, and HR. It is being implemented in multiple phases. We are in Wave 3 and are preparing to go “live” with CUNYfirst in Spring 2013. This system will provide many modules.
The Faculty Center is a self-service component that provides instructors with a single entry point from which to begin navigation to instructor-related transactions. Within the Faculty Center, faculty members are able to:
-View their teaching schedule in both a grid and calendar format;
-View their exam schedule;
-View and enter instructional materials for their assigned classes;
-View their class roster and send notifications to students on the roster;
-Submit the Verification of Attendance Roster; and
-View their grade roster, as well as enter and submit grades for posting.
