Winners of their second-straight CUNYAC Championship nearly 48 hours ago, the College of Staten Island men’s basketball squad, an NCAA Round of 16 finalist last year will be travelling to Washington, DC,  to take on Catholic University in opening round play of this year’s tournament, as it was announced on the NCAA Selection Show by host Kyle Binder moments ago.  An official time for the game has yet to be set, but the game will be played at the Raymond A. DuFour Center on the campus of Catholic on Saturday, March 2.

A full NCAA Division III bracket is via the NCAA website soon.  The winner of CSI-Catholic would play the winner of Wesley College vs. Williams College the following weekend, on Saturday, March 9.

The game will mark CSI’s third-ever meeting with the Cardinals.  Catholic took the only two meetings in 1980 (83-68 @ Catholic) and in 1986 (85-80).  Ticketing information, as well as updated information on the game will be announced later today.  Be sure to follow developments here on www.csidolphins.com.
