The Music Program of the Department of Performing and Creative Arts presents The OMNI Ensemble, “We Play the Body Electric” on Thursday, Nov. 7 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Recital Hall at 2:30pm.
The OMNI Ensemble will begin its eighth season with this concert. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler will be joined by guest artists Brian Snow, cello and John Cheek, piano/synthesizer.
The resident chamber music group of the Brooklyn Conservatory for the 31st year, the OMNI Ensemble continues to perform concerts of wide-ranging variety, designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not usually encountered in one chamber music group. The upcoming program will be half acoustic and half electric with works by Franz Schubert, Aaron Copland, Jean Francaix, Renaissance composers, and electronic improvisations.
