The College of Staten Island men’s and women’s basketball teams are in action today for a pair of critical CUNYAC tests.  The CSI men will tip-off against Brooklyn College at 1pm, right after their Alumni Game at 11:00am, followed by the women’s tip-off at 3pm against the Bulldogs.  Admission to all events are FREE of charge and CLUE Certified (PG) for all students.  If you can’t make it to the game there are a few ways to tune in.  WSIA, 88.9FM will be calling the game live on the radio and at www.wsia.fm.  An audio webcast via CSI SportsNet is also available at www.csidolphins.com/live.  Brooklyn College Radio is also covering the game at http://www.spreaker.com/user/5491869.

The College of Staten Island men will take to the floor tonight to keep their undefeated record alive against the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC contest.  The Dolphins, 14-2 overall and 8-0 in the CUNYAC, have had been on a roll this season and have nothing but the CUNYAC Championship on their minds.  Brooklyn College comes into tonight’s game with a record of 5-11 overall and 2-6 in the CUNYAC.
The Dolphins are coming off of a huge win over the Cardinals of York College.  The Dolphins are riding an exceptional 13 game winning streak and will certainly want to continue this streak all the way through to the CUNYAC Championship and even into the NCAA tournament.  The men have guarded the Sports and Recreation Center from every opponent that has entered this season as they are 7-0 at home.
Over in Brooklyn, the Bulldogs are having a less than stellar year.  They were 12-14 overall last year and 9-7 in the CUNYAC, having lost to the Dolphins in the semi-finals of the CUNYAC tournament.  This season they are just 3 losses shy of equaling their total losses from a season ago.

In women’s action, the College of Staten Island will take to the floor tonight to face off against third place Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC contest.  The Dolphins, 14-3 overall and 9-0 in the CUNYAC have been on a roll this season and will certainly like to keep that going.  Brooklyn College, (12-4, 6-2) will prove to be a formidable opponent tonight as they are currently on a five game winning streak and will come into tonight’s game with a lot of confidence.

Most recently, the Dolphins beat York College by 37 points increasing their control over the CUNYAC.  The Dolphins are riding a seven game winning streak and will not want to give that up to the likes of Brooklyn who will try and close the three game gap between the two teams.  CSI will bring their best to protect the Sports and Recreation Center from the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, over in Brooklyn, the Bulldogs are continuing where they left off last season.  The Bulldogs are 12-4 overall this season and will want to make an appearance in the CUNYAC Finals like they did just a year ago.  The Bulldogs travel well, as they are 7-2 away from home, which could create a great matchup as the Dolphins are extremely good at home.
