The College of Staten Island men’s basketball team opened up a tight first-half with a run that extended midway through the second frame, culminating in an improbable 38-0 run that resulted in an 81-42 win over visiting John Jay College at the Sports & Recreation Center tonight as part of CUNYAC play. The win, the 10th in a row for the Dolphins, lifted the team to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the conference while the Bloodhounds fell to 6-9 overall and 4-4 in the CUNYAC. Along the way, CSI senior Bloochy Magloire made history, tying the school’s all-time three-point scoring title with 241 career three’s with a trio of three’s in the game’s eventful first half.
