The College of Staten Island will face off against the Bears of St. Joseph’s College in a non-conference show down tonight.  The Dolphins have been extraordinary this year as they are riding a 17-game winning streak and are undefeated within the conference. Admission to tonight’s contest is free of charge but if you cannot make the trip, be sure to tune in to CSI SportsNet for all the action.  A direct link to the game is available here or at www.csidolphins.com/live.  Coverage begins at 7:15pm.

The Dolphins have been unstoppable this season and are undefeated in the CUNYAC. They have not lost a single game in 2014 and will want to keep it that way tonight against St. Joseph’s.  No team in the CUNYAC can find the winning formula against the Dolphins this season while the Dolphins have locked in the winning formula against all competition.  The Dolphins go into tonights game with a 8-1 away record while the Bears have a 7-1 home record, one of which will have to give in.

CSI is coming off a win versus Lehman College which improved their record to 12-0 in the CUNYAC.  The Dolphins are outscoring their opponents by 15 points a game by averaging 82.7 points per game and only allowing 67.7 to be scored on them.  The key to success for CSI has been their defense and their high percentage shooting (50%) from the field, while their defense has held opponents to just 38% shooting from the field.  CSI leads the all-time meeting between these two teams with a 9-2 overall record.

Meanwhile, over in Brooklyn, St. Joseph’s is on a five game winning streak.  The Bears are a perfect 6-0 in their conference.  St. Joseph’s is also very good at home, posting a 7-1 home record this season which may cause some problems for the visiting Dolphins.  They are also averaging 74.1 points per game, however, that average has gone up to 85.4 over their five game winning streak, while holding their opponents to just 61.8 points per game.
