We are pleased to advise you that, following a comprehensive national search, Christopher Cruz Cullari has been named the new Executive Director of Continuing Education. Chris will be commencing his new position effective Thursday, Sept. 4.
Chris previously worked at the College of Staten Island as the Director of the Center for Student Accessibility with Student Affairs. While at CSI, Chris earned a reputation among faculty, staff, students, and the Staten Island community as a collaborative, strategic, and highly successful leader.
Chris has experience in all facets of continuing education. Most recently, he was the Senior Director of Academic Support and Access at American University where he managed all academic support initiatives for the University including all academic support programs, counseling, tutoring, supplemental instruction, services for students with disabilities, academic support for international students and student athletes, an English language learning lab, the broad efforts of a comprehensive learning center, and programmatic retention and success initiatives. Among his notable achievements, Chris garnered more than $100,000 in contributions from local businesses and civic organizations, and was recognized as raising the largest amount of such resources in the Division of Campus Life at American University. Chris also previously served as the Assistant Director for the Center for Adult Learning at Bloomfield College in New Jersey.
Chris is currently completing his Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Literacy Education with a focus on Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.
