The College is expecting 600 incoming students to participate in the upcoming two-day SPLASH: CSI’s New Student Orientation program in January 2015. This program is designed to help new students become familiar with the CSI campus, provide important information regarding the many services and resources available, and to help new students navigate through their initial advisement and registration process for their first semester of classes.
Volunteer staff, who have participated in the orientation programs in the past, have been an important and an integral part of making this program successful for new students. The student and staff feedback that has been received from prior orientation programs has been extremely positive. Specifically, students noted that they appreciated the opportunities provided to them to interact with various staff members throughout the duration of the program and that it also helped them feel welcomed to the College.
In continuing with these efforts, we write at this time to invite you to participate in the SPLASH sessions for January 2015. These sessions will occur on the following dates:
Thursday and Friday. Jan. 8 and 9
Thursday and Friday, Jan. 22 and 23
Your support is needed on both days of the SPLASH program, including the check-in process for new students on day one and guiding new students through the registration process on day two of the program.
Check-In Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to welcome new students to CSI by assisting with the check-in process. Volunteers are paired with a New Student Orientation Leader and help to distribute materials to the incoming students. Check-in volunteers are needed:

If you are interested in volunteering for SPLASH, please consult with your department supervisor regarding your intent to participate in the SPLASH activity on the dates and times shown.
